DirectFB support? MythTV Dev. Hello, I'm currently building a PVR system, And im tossing up between VDR/MythTV using DirectFB for a G550/Epia-m chipset. In file included from mpeg/pespacket.cpp:9: /usr/include/directfb/../libavcodec/avcodec.h:258:5: error: missing binary operator before token "(" /usr/include/directfb/../libavcodec. Tried yum install mythtv-suite. Couldn't install mplayer and transcode, needed specific versions of mjpegtools and directfb. So removed those two and retried mythtv-suite, 13. Acceleration what i'm talking about is mpeg for framebuffer. specifically mpeg acceleration for directfb (as mythtv seems to be running under directfb, but no fbdev/fbdev2).

Does anyone use MythTV on a framebuffer? I'm just getting started looking into framebuffers and I see that MythTV has "directFB" support. In addition, the DirectFB Project supports CLE266 hardware acceleration. you to this howto written by Torsten Schenkel, which explains how to install MythTV on. Introduction . This HOWTO describes how to setup MythTV on a framebuffer device using DirectFB and QT Embedded. Why would you want to install MythTV on a framebuffer ? I've been trying to remove the need for EXCLUSIVE from the mythtv directfb video code, but have yet to be successful.
